We’ve created a COVID-19 page on our website to help organize the huge amount of information out there and collate some of the rapidly changing guidelines for safety and clinical management. We’ve included some CDC/WHO guidelines as well as UCSD/VASDHS policies. As our residency evolves to address the fluid changes in OR and ICU staffing, this page will also summarize the changes and provide the latest updates as they occur.
OR and Surgical Schedule
- KOP is closed for now
- Shiley will run only one OR for the remainder of the week – and may not run ORs for a few weeks after this
- Much consolidation of out of the OR cases
- Only leveled or essential cases will be done.
Morning Conference and M&M – cancelled in accordance with current recommendations.
National Conferences – similarly to our own meetings and M&M, these have been cancelled and residents originally scheduled off will be returned to the staffing pool
Resident Lunch – We will no longer have daily lunches delivered. Additional money will be placed on meal cards. These should take a few days to take effect.
